Intensive Care Unit Physician Staffing (IPS)

We are working with a private hospitalist corporation to provide intensivist coverage in ICU. We currently have 2 intensivists on staff and have plan in place to add 2 more. We are also planning on adding an acute care APRN practice model for the hours of the day that the intensivist is not available. This plan is to be implemented by 7-2007.
