A Cardiovascular Team is focusing on improving the care delivery process for cardiac patients, including PTCA within 90 minutes. Sinai-Grace Hospital was awarded a grant by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to participate in the Expecting Success - Excellence in Cardiac Care project. The project focuses on reducing racial and ethnic disparities in the care of targeted diseases, such as cardiovascular disease. |
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair |
Initiating a performance improvement initiative to monitor the administration of a beta-blocker prior to induction and prescribing beta-blockers at discharge in 4th quarter 2006. |
Low Birthweight Infants and Infants with Congenital Anomalies |
Sinai-Grace Hospital adheres to the recommended guidelines for administering at least one dose of antenatal steroids to inborn mothers delivering at 24 through 33 6/7 weeks of gestational age. A PI initiative will be implemented in 4th quarter 2006 to confirm compliance. |
Intensive Care Unit Physician Staffing (IPS) |
Sinai-Grace Hospital has been fully compliant with the Leapfrog IPS standards since 1983. Sinai-Grace Hospital participates in the Keystone:ICU initiative. Also participate in a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant funded project caled Expecting Success - Excellence in Cardiac Care.
