General Comments on Patient Safety Activities

All National Patient Safety Goals have been implemented. Our Health System has an annual Patient Safety Climate Survey. At St. John North Shores Hospital, we have rated in the top fifteen percent of all Ascension Health Hospitals for fostering a culture of patient safety. We have achieved a greater than 95% compliance rate in elimination of the use of unsafe abbreviations.
