The Emergency Center/Cardiology interdisciplinary work group meets on a regular basis to review care provided to patients with AMI and PCI. Aspirin at discharge and door to balloon time are two of the metrics that are used to measure quality of care. To work towards a goal of PCI within 90 minutes the team has implanted the following: wards transmission of EKG readings from ambulance providers to EC. 2006 year to date average time for door to balloon is 100 minutes.
