ICU patients are managed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
by physician staff who have specific core privileges in ICU medicine.
Hospitalists, cardiologists, and other physician specialists are
available to support care as needed. CCH also participates with
the Keystone ICU and other statewide collaborative projects across
Michigan. Specific initiatives have resulted in CCH ranking consistently
at the top of hospitals statewide in quality measures related
to care of the ventilator patient, elimination of central line
infections, care of patients with myocardial infarction, heart
failure and numerous measures related to the culture and practice
of the science of safety. We maintain a high level of coordination
of care and communication among physicians, nurses and other clinical
staff through the use of patient-centered Daily Goals. |
